Firefall gets a facelift

So the problem with wanting to write about video games is that I tend to want to play those games. Once I get started, it’s very difficult to put down that keyboard and start composing some thoughts. Is that why I haven’t posted in almost a month? Yep, that’s pretty much it. The new computer has some very nice graphics and playing on a 42″ HDTV has some definite appeal. Most of my time is spent with Star Wars: The Old Republic, Arkham City, and recently the beta for the new World of Warcraft expansion, Mists of Pandaria. Today, however, I feel the need to explain how blown away I was with the newest patch for Firefall. Continue reading

It lives! Or some digital equivalent.

The last two quarters of college were just killing me because I knew it was just about over, but it still seemed so far out of reach. Well no more! The hard work has paid off and I have completed all of the units for that double major. So as a reward to me, I built a new gaming PC. Certainly there could be no better use of my degree than to flood my waking hours with high definition video gaming. I actually finished the system over a week ago, but in the choice between games and blogging… Anyone surprised? No? Correct answer, let’s move on.
